The
Stark County Chapter of Credit Unions
recently announced the winners of their
2008 Annual Scholarship Awards. Jennifer
Reink, a Massillon Area CU Member, was
among this year’s $500 scholarship
recipients.
The
Stark County Chapter of Credit Unions
Scholarship was established to honor
students that display a standard of
excellence which is highly valued by the
credit union movement. Each year, credit
unions in Stark County award multiple
scholarships to graduating high school
seniors planning to pursue higher
education at a college, university, or
trade school. Selection criteria
included academic performance, letters
of recommendation as well as
extra-curricular activity participation.
Jennifer Reink is a recent graduate of
Hoover High School in North Canton,
Ohio. In addition to excelling
academically, Jennifer participated in
multiple extra-curricular activities
including: Teen Institute, Key Club,
Student Council, Executive Board
Historian, Mock Trial, National Honors
Society, REACH, and Choir. She will be
attending the University of Akron BSMD
program with subsequent plans to attend
the Northeast Ohio Universities College
of Medicine (NEOUCOM).
